2nd Lieutenant Wesley Holford Wilson
Born 2nd August 1897 in modern day South Africa, he was the fifth of six children, yet the only son, of Wesley and Ellen Wilson. He joined the College in 1909 and was a pupil for two years, leaving in summer of 1911 whilst a member of the 2nd form.
During the early years of the war Wesley was back in Southern Africa, fighting as a member of first the South African Mounted Rifles, and later the 4th South African Horse. In August 1917 he returned once more to England, becoming a member of the Royal Air Force. It was whilst serving in this capacity that he lost his life in an aeroplane accident whilst in training near Stockbridge, Hampshire. He lays buried in Stockbridge Cemetery.
