JL Turnbull First Sister in Law Letter
24 Grange Rd
12th Feb. 1917
To the Headmaster.
My sister asked me to let you know that her husband, James Lindsay Turnbull, late of “Fenwick”, Terrapin Rd, Upper Tooting, died of malaria at [Uleion????], German East Africa, on Oct 31st 1916, whilst on active service. He was an old Dulwich boy, & she thought you would like to have his name in the school roll of honour. If it is also put in the school magazine, would you please send her a copy to the following address:
If you want further particulars about him, I can give them to you.
