Dear Mr Christison
Thanks for your kind letter of sympathy on the loss of my son.
He took to the stage for some time under Gerald Lawrence in Shakespeare plays. He certainly had the gift for ventriloquism & gave shows for [??????] objects. He joined the RND in Nov. 1914 getting his Comm. Jan. 1915 & his captaincy Jan. 1916; after leaving the Palace he was sent to Alresford & in August 1916 [2] transferred to the R.F.C. getting his wings in Oct. & left for France Jan. 10th. I enclose copy of letter from his c/o & also from one of his comrades, in case you would like to use any part of them.
