Dear Sir,
My sister asked me to let you know that her husband, James Lindsay Turnbull, late of “Fenwick”, [2] Terrapin Rd, Upper Tooting, died of malaria at [Uleion????], German East Africa, on Oct 31st 1916, whilst on active service. He was an old Dulwich boy, & she thought you would like to have his name in the school roll of honour. If it is also put in the school magazine, would you [3] please send her a copy to the following address:

If you want further particulars about him, I can give them to you.
Believe me,
Yours truly
(Mrs. [D.G?] Muriel M. Turnbull
